HER STORY
I grew up in Africa watching women who were the backbone of everything.
Women who carried tomatoes on their heads to feed their families. Women who were resilient, powerful, extraordinary - who gave everything they had to everyone around them and were never once asked what they needed. In my eyes, they were entrepreneurs before the word existed.
I became what I witnessed.
I carried that pattern across an ocean. At nineteen years old, I found myself pregnant, 8,000 miles from home, alone in America, about to become a mother who needed her own mother. What I had witnessed from the women in my life kicked in. I did not know what to call it then. Now I know - it was survival. And survival kept me going. But survival was never meant to be a permanent address.
Years passed. I built a life that looked perfect from the outside.
The family. The business. The roles. All of it checked. All of it hollow.
I found myself lying awake at 4am - a place I had been visiting far too often - staring at the ceiling of a life I had built for everyone but myself. My soul was quiet. Not gone. Quiet. That is what happens when a woman has been performing for so long she forgets there is another way to live.
I had evicted myself from my own life.
I was a mother, a wife, an entrepreneur - and a complete stranger to myself. I felt like an actor handed a script I never agreed to perform. And something inside me - the part that had never stopped whispering - finally became impossible to ignore.
That is when the real work began. Not the achieving. Not the performing. The returning.
The journey back to soul alignment. Back to my voice. Back to wholeness.
That journey is not just my story. It is the story of every woman I have ever worked with. And it is the story I bring into every room I enter.
